Shot Blasting Chamber KASO – Professional System for Abrasive Blasting
Shot blasting chamber of the KASO series has been designed as a modern and integrated system for professional abrasive blasting of various types of steel, cast iron parts, and industrial structures. This solution ensures optimal working conditions during surface cleaning processes, preparation of elements for painting, and removal of scale, rust, and old protective coatings.
The KASO system effectively limits the spread of dust and contaminants outside the working zone, while simultaneously enabling automatic collection, transport, regeneration, and reuse of abrasive in the technological process. Thanks to this, the system creates a closed loop of abrasive material, which significantly increases work efficiency and reduces operating losses.
An advanced filtration and ventilation system is responsible for the rapid removal of dusty air from the inside of the cabin and its effective filtration. The construction of the device protects the operator and the cabin walls against shot ricochets, and efficient LED lighting ensures high comfort of work and precise quality control of the treated surface.
The KASO system enables operation with various types of abrasives, including steel and cast iron shot (spherical and angular) with a fraction of 0.5–1.0 mm, glass beads, aluminum oxide, metal oxides, and carbides used in industrial surface treatment.

Operation Scheme and Configuration of the KASO System
The KASO system consists of many cooperating technological modules that create a complete line for abrasive blasting. Each piece of equipment is selected individually, taking into account the dimensions of the processed parts, planned production capacity, and the number of operators working simultaneously inside the cabin.
The final operating parameters of the installation depend directly on the technological requirements of a given plant and the specifics of the production process. Thanks to the modular design, the system can be adapted both to smaller workstations and large industrial surface cleaning lines.
Each chamber is designed based on an individual technical specification prepared for a specific investment. Despite the possibility of configuring individual components, all KASO systems maintain common technological functions and identical assumptions regarding efficiency, safety, and process automation.
All devices operate according to the developed control algorithm and form one integrated technological chain. Supervision over the system operation, parameter control, and management of main functions are carried out from the central control panel.
Cabin of the KASO System for Abrasive Blasting (Shot Blasting Chamber)
The cabin of the KASO system has been designed to effectively separate the abrasive blasting process from the surrounding working environment. The construction limits the escape of abrasive and fine dust particles outside the work zone, while increasing operator safety during surface cleaning.
The applied internal protective linings minimize the risk of shot ricochets and protect the structural elements of the chamber against mechanical damage. Thanks to this, the system ensures stable operating conditions and a long service life of the entire installation.
The cabin is equipped with an industrial LED lighting system ensuring a light intensity of minimum 700 lx. Such parameters enable accurate quality control of the processed surface and comfortable work for the operator even during long-term technological processes.
Structural Elements of the Cabin

The load-bearing structure of the cabin is made of closed steel profiles protected with an anti-corrosion paint coating. The chamber walls are made of sandwich panels with thermal insulation filling, which increases durability and improves the insulation of the workstation.
The lighting system includes two upper rows of lamps protected with glass resistant to mechanical impacts. Depending on technological requirements, it is possible to use additional side lighting modules.
The cabin is equipped with sealed entrance gates allowing convenient transport of processed parts. The internal surfaces of walls, doors, and gates are covered with a special rubber lining, which limits panel wear, reduces structural deformation, and minimizes abrasive reflections towards the operator.

Scraper Conveyor of the KASO Shot Blasting Chambers System
The scraper conveyor is an integral component of the abrasive recovery and recycling system used during abrasive blasting. The task of the system is to automatically collect used abrasive material, process dust, and other contaminants generated during operation, and then transport them to the bucket elevator.
The design of the system is based on several longitudinal modules and one transverse module covered with an industrial grating floor. Each project is executed individually for a specific workstation, which allows maximum utilization of the floor area and ensures effective collection of abrasive from the entire work zone.
Individual modules are equipped with steel guide rails and special working trolleys with scrapers. The mechanism is driven by an electromechanical system using metal working levers that ensure stable and continuous material transport.
Structure of the Transport System

In the standard configuration, the system includes several longitudinal sections and one transverse module. The entire mechanism is covered with special protective gratings forming the complete working floor of the installation.
The applied working trolleys operate in a way that allows the material to be moved only during the working stroke. During the return movement, the scrapers lift up, leaving the abrasive in its current position. This solution increases work efficiency and limits material losses.
The longitudinal modules move the abrasive towards the transverse section, which then directs the material into the discharge hopper or a technological pit. Thanks to this, the used abrasive automatically enters the feed of the bucket elevator without the need to stop the blasting process.
Automatic transport of the abrasive material allows to maintain the continuity of operation of the entire system and increases the efficiency of the process of regeneration and reuse of the abrasive.
Bucket Elevator KT-5M of Shot Blasting Chambers
The bucket elevator KT-5M has been designed for continuous vertical transport of dry bulk materials used in abrasive blasting processes. The device plays an important role in the abrasive recovery and regeneration system, transporting the material to the cleaning and reuse system.
The system is adapted to work with various types of abrasives, including steel and cast iron shot, spherical and angular abrasive, aluminum oxide, glass beads, slag, and metal carbides used in industrial surface cleaning processes.
Standard Construction of KT-5M
The base of the device is the main section acting as a supporting structure. The module is equipped with a material inlet, mounting elements, and a working drum responsible for the operation of the transport system.
Intermediate sections allow adjustment of the material lifting height, thanks to which the system can be adapted to the parameters of a specific technological installation.
The inspection module with a control window provides convenient access during technical inspections and service activities. This element increases operational safety and facilitates monitoring of the device’s operation.
The upper section of the elevator is equipped with a gear motor, a tensioning system, a drive drum, and a transition channel responsible for further transport of the abrasive in the recovery system.
Operating Principle of the Transport System
The transport mechanism is based on a durable working belt equipped with transport buckets. The belt operates between the lower and upper drum, and the drive of the entire system is realized by means of a gear motor.
Thanks to the continuous transport of material, the system ensures stable operation of the installation and automatic feeding of the abrasive to the subsequent stages of cleaning and regeneration.
Vibratory Separator SVT
The vibratory separator SVT has been developed for automatic cleaning of abrasive material used in abrasive blasting processes. The task of the device is to separate dust, slag, and other contaminants from the fully valuable abrasive, which enables its further use in the technological cycle.
The SVT system is intended for operation in industrial surface cleaning installations and cooperates with the abrasive regeneration system. The device automatically prepares the material for reuse and transfers it to the next stages of the technological process.
The use of a separator significantly increases the durability of the abrasive, reduces the amount of waste, and improves the efficiency of cleaning metal surfaces and industrial structures.
Operating Principle of the Separator
The used abrasive along with dust and contaminants enters the device through the feed channel onto the working sieve, which is set in continuous motion by a vibratory motor. The vibration process enables effective screening of the material and separating it according to particle size and mass.
The cleaned abrasive is directed to a special storage hopper intended for reuse, while larger contaminants and technological waste are automatically separated and removed from the system.
During operation, a stream of diluted air with adjustable efficiency flows through the falling mixture of abrasive and dust. This process allows light dust particles to be separated from the material suitable for further operation.
The separated dust goes to the waste container, and the recovered abrasive returns to the technological cycle. The separator operates automatically and remains synchronized with the other elements of the abrasive material regeneration system.
Filtration and Ventilation Unit FVU
The filtration and ventilation unit FVU with a pulse jet filter cleaning system is responsible for the effective removal of dust and contaminants generated during abrasive blasting. The system forms an integral part of the KASO installation and ensures the maintenance of appropriate working conditions inside the technological station.
The filtration system is designed to clean the air from fine solid particles and industrial aerosols generated during the shot blasting process. The dust emission at the outlet of the installation does not exceed the level of 8 mg/m³ of gas, which reduces contamination of the working environment.
The aspiration process consists in the flow of contaminated air through high-efficiency filter cartridges that retain technological dust and other harmful airborne particles. The solution improves operator work safety and increases the efficiency of industrial ventilation.
Operating Principle of the Filtration System
Dusty air enters the filtration chamber through an inlet channel equipped with a baffle directing the flow. The change in the direction of air movement causes larger and heavier dust particles to fall directly into the hopper, thereby reducing the load on the filter elements.
Next, the air is distributed evenly between the filter cartridges. Contaminants settle on the outer surface of the filters, while the cleaned air is directed to the clean air chamber and discharged outside through the outlet channel.
The applied filtration system allows to effectively reduce the amount of industrial dust in the working zone and ensures stable and safe operation of the entire technological installation.
The filter elements are regenerated by means of compressed air pulses.
Compressed air from the receiver (tank) passes through solenoid valves into the pneumatic lines located above the open ends of the filter cartridges. Then, through nozzles in the pneumatic lines, a pulse of air is directed into the filter elements, causing dust to be removed from their outer surface.
The dust is knocked off the filter cartridges and falls into the dust hopper, from where it is then removed by a discharge device.
Control Panel of the KASO System (Shot Blasting Chamber)
The control panel serves as the central management system for the operation of the entire KASO installation. The automation system is responsible for synchronizing the operation of individual devices and continuous monitoring of the operating parameters of the abrasive blasting system.
The control interface has been designed to allow intuitive operation and quick access to the most important technological functions. The configuration of the panel depends on the capacity of the installation and the number of applied working components.

Abrasive Blasting Machine with Protective Equipment
The abrasive blasting system is designed for effective cleaning of metal surfaces from rust, mill scale, old paint coatings, and other technological contaminants. The device is used in the processes of surface preparation before painting, galvanizing, and further industrial processing.
A working tank with a capacity of 200 liters enables efficient and stable operation even during intensive industrial use. The adjustment of abrasive feeding is done manually by means of a metering valve, which allows adjusting the operating parameters to the type of processed surface.
The device uses the energy of compressed air to accelerate abrasive particles, which are then directed through the working nozzle onto the surface to be cleaned. The stream of abrasive effectively removes layers of corrosion, paint, and other technological deposits.
